Description
The “Bachelor of Engineering in Audio and Video’’ study program offered by the Hochschule Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences is an eight-semester program, created by the Faculty of Media. The course is primarily focused on technology and science combined with creativity, design and art theory. The educational program introduces the participants to both technical and creative part of the study. Thus, they are expected to gain deep knowledge on traditional engineering topics and to practice their skills in different musical instrument classes. The interdisciplinary course combines subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Music Theory, Informatics for Engineers, Computer Engineering, Image Engineering, Acoustics, Sound Engineering, etc. Upon graduation the participants can pursue a career in areas like Audio recording, Music informatics, Software development, Music production, Event realisation, Sound systems, Noise protection, Film soundtracks and film mixing, Computer game design, Audio and video editing, etc.
