The “Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Process Technology’’ study program offered by the Hochschule Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences is a seven-semesters program, created by the Faculty of Mechanical and Process Engineering. The course is primarily focused on the production and processing of products without specific geometric form like powder, fluids or gases. To apply the gained knowledge the participants are expected to be familiar with different physical, chemical and biological processes and operations. The study program combines the theory related to the fundamentals of natural sciences with extensive practice in laboratories. The students are to be introduced also to the different aspects of profitability and sustainability, and also to sales and consultancy. Upon graduation, the participants could pursue a career in chemical and petrochemical industry, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, food and luxury food, plastics, wood, paper, inspection agencies, environmental and disposal technology companies, biotechnology, genetic and medical technology, safety and emission control, waste disposal, patents management, etc.
