Description
The “Master of Arts in Interior Design’’ study program offered by the Hochschule Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences is a four-semesters program, created by the Faculty of Architecture of Peter Behrens School of Arts (PBSA). The course is primarily focused on the basic principles of interior design and the different ways an interior designer can interact with buildings and social spaces. The students will be introduced to all the theoretical, practical and experimental design aspects. The extensive practical part included in the study program aims to present the interconnections between interior design, architecture, urban design. The research-oriented program gives an opportunity for the students to spend a semester abroad in a chosen design studio abroad or in a partner university. The graduates can pursue a career in different areas, including interior design practice, heritage conservation, exhibition and trade fair design, project development, set design (film and theatre) and media design.
