The growth of the digital sector has led to innovations and changes in many industries, including Healthcare. Nursing and Healthcare Management aims to respond to the digital revolution and update healthcare in order to adapt to societal needs. Migration, birth rates, ethnic change and aging populations are just some of the issues Nursing and Healthcare Management studies and deals with. Nursing and Healthcare Management university degree programs most often teach subjects from the fields of Management and Medicine, like Business Administration, Health Economics, Nursing, Quality Management in Healthcare, Human Resource Management, Psychology, Ethics, Sociology, Health Advising, Public Health, International Healthcare Systems, Epidemiology, Human Anatomy, and Physiology. Nursing and Healthcare Management degree courses are mostly practice-oriented, so in addition to acquiring extensive theoretical knowledge, students are provided with the opportunity to complete a practical semester and do an internship or work placement where they will gain valuable professional skills, such as leadership, project management, strong communication, critical assessment, analytical-thinking, and problem-solving skills. Nursing and Healthcare Management graduates usually pursue careers in national and international healthcare organizations, healthcare institutions management, health insurance, nursing service management and others.

For this program, a general higher education entrance qualification or university of applied sciences entrance qualification is needed. Applicants withouth academic entrance qualifications need to proof a completed study-related vocational training and at least 3 years of working experience. Proof of starting the vocational training/doctor´s certificate/police certificate. Knowledge of German Language is also required.
