The seven-semester double degree program “Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering” is provided at the Ilmenau University of Technology. It is designed to teach the students the fundamentals of engineering science, as well as the development of technology and its methods. By attending theoretical lectures such as Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, and Elective Biomedical Engineering, they will be able to understand complex medical issues and to create effective solutions. In addition, those who would like to improve their professional skills and knowledge can take part in an internship program abroad. After successfully completing the course, graduates will be qualified for career in the medical technology industry, for example clinics, consulting companies and expert organizations, medical technology quality management, and many more.
