The study program “Master of Arts in Media and Communication Science” offered at the Ilmenau University of Technology has a duration of four semesters and is taught in English. The research-oriented course is conducted in cooperation with Institut für Medien- und Kommunikationswissenschaft, and ideal for students who already hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. It is aimed to provide participants with in-depth scientific knowledge of the media communication science. They will attend subjects such as Communication Science, Media Management and Communication Theories, Qualitative and Quantitative Methods, Data Analysis, and Intercultural Communication, as well as seminars where they can learn more about the theoretical approaches, and methods used in media communication. Graduates of this program have wide range of career opportunities in the field of media, for example in Media and communication consulting, Media management and production, PR and many more.
