The study program “Bachelor of Science in Media Economics” offered at the Ilmenau University of Technology has a duration of six semesters. The course is practice-oriented and focused on teaching students the fundamentals of variety of disciplines like economics, law, media technology, and media studies. By attending theoretical lectures such as Finance, Applied Media Technology, Media Management, Fundamentals of Business Law, and Statistics, they will be able to develop and manage different business processes, while also strengthening their soft and communication skills. The course provides also opportunity for students to take part in an internship program. Career prospects for graduates are for example in the Management of media companies, Media departments in companies, Media Production, Marketing and PR, and many more.
