The four-semester study program “Master of Science in Renewable Energy Technology” is offered at the Ilmenau University of Technology. The course is designed to provide students with in-depth knowledge of the production and creation of renewable energy technology, and how wo apply it. They can choose between Photovoltaics, Thermal Energy Systems, or Electrical Systems Engineering to specialize in. The study plan includes theoretical lectures such as Basics of Solar Energy Conversion, Economic and Social Aspects of Renewable Energies, Mathematical and Scientific Basics, and will teach them how to develop and use new solutions to complex problems in industrial production. In addition, students can take part in an internship program. Graduates will be qualified for academic work in universities and research institutes, Industrial research and development activities, or as a consultant for technology, management and politics.
