The “Bachelor of Arts in Gerontology” distance learning study program offered by the International University of Applied Sciences is a 36-month course of studies offering 24/7 online exams, different time models, and the possibility to start at any time. The distance learning course offers also flexible full-time and part-time time models that suit any participant’s educational need. It gives the students the opportunity to study completely independent as they are 100% online and 100% flexible. The course is primarily focused on the foundations of gerontology studies. The participants are to be introduced to geriatrics, gerontopsychiatry, gerontopsychology, intervention gerontology, gerontosociology, adult education and social policy. Upon graduation, the students can pursue a career as consultants for senior work, geriatric advisors or social advisors in care facilities for the elderly.
