The “Bachelor of Arts in Social Work” is a dual bachelor study program offered by the International University of Applied Sciences. It is a seven-semester educational program where one can combine study and work at the same time. The dual studies are created with maximum flexibility so that the students can choose to study at any of the 28 university locations across Germany or on the virtual campus. The course is primarily focused on the foundations of the social work, including subjects like Professional Development, Pedagogy, Conversation and Counseling in Social Work, Development and Socialization, etc. The participants are also to be introduced to psychology, ethics and law. Upon graduation, the students can pursue a career in the areas of childhood education, child and youth welfare or social work with adults.
