The “Bachelor of Science in Midwifery” program at Jade University of Applied Sciences is with a length of 7 semesters. It combines a scientific degree with longer accompanied practical periods, for example in hospitals or with freelance midwives. In addition, a skills lab as a third place of learning will enable practical skills to be practiced at the university. During the study period, students receive a salary from the cooperating partner for their practical work. Anatomy and physiology, Physiological Births, Quality and risk management in midwifery, Pregnancy care, Women's health and special pregnancy processes, Infants at the center of care and culturally sensitive care and other subjects are part of the curriculum. In addition to a university entrance qualification, candidates must also submit a contract with a practice partner by the start of the semester.
