With a duration of four semesters, the degree course “Master of Science in Accounting and Finance” is offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. The program is primarily geared towards the basis of current scientific standards while the prospective students gain in-depth knowledge in the fields of financial accounting, taxation, corporate governance, management accounting, financial services, corporate finance and related fields, as well as the ability to apply them to decision-making problems in practic. The students are enabled to reduce the complexity of economic problems through abstraction, to work out solutions with scientific methods and to critically question the limits of the applied instruments.
