Offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, the degree program “Bachelor of Arts in Audiovisual Publishing” is with a total duration of six semesters. By conveying the theoretical, methodological and practical basics the students successfully obtain both practical and theoretical overview of all activities and areas in film and television productions along with the methods of analysis of audiovisual contributions. By providing an aesthetic and semiotic-pragmatic approach to AV media along with a communication science approach the students will be able to create the university television program CampusTV Mainz by also having the opportunity to be involved in teaching editorial teams and produce magazine programs, studio programs and other formats.
