“Master of Education in Biology” is provided by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz with a total length of four semesters. The graduates obtain comprehension of the general basics in the biological core subjects of botany, evolutionary biology, human biology, ecology and zoology as well as in the subject didactics of biology and chemistry in the neighboring natural science subject. The master degree explores the topics of genetics and microbiology while also deepening the technical and didactic knowledge acquired in the bachelor degree. During the program, the prospective students attend excursions where the focus is to broaden the knowledge of species and help to identify ecological relationships.
