With a duration of six semesters the program “Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Chemistry” is provided by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. It conveys key competencies for biomedically oriented research with the aim to develop new and improve known therapeutic concepts. By exploring in-depth the core chemical subjects such as inorganic, organic and physical chemistry the course also covers the biomedically relevant subjects of biochemistry, pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry, cell biology, histology, anatomy, physiology as well as wide range of chemical and biomedical electives from molecular biology to immunology and radiopharmacy.
