Offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, the degree program “Master of Science in Biomedical Chemistry” is with a total duration of four semesters. The course both combines and connects three disciplines from the different fields. By providing a profound understanding of biological processes in human and animal organisms the prospective students also acquire an extensive knowledge of the underlying biomedical mechanisms and molecules. The master's degree imparts an emphasis in the area of Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry and Medical Pharmaceutical Chemistry as well as elective courses in the field of Biomedicine where the participants obtain knowledge in the subjects of Chemistry, Biology and Biomedicine along with the opportunity for individual specialization.
