Offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, the program “Bachelor of Arts in Civil Law” is with a total duration of six semesters. By providing knowledge and skills in civil law the program also explores the basic regulations of legal relationships among private individuals, with the optional inclusion of the law of dependent employees, family and inheritance law relationships or commercial transactions. In addition to the legal content, the minor conveys the ability to independently find a system-compatible solution in legal cases in civil law. The course imparts well-founded specialist knowledge in the areas of labor law, family and inheritance law or commercial, company law, substantive civil law as well as legal case-solving techniques.
