The program “Master of Science in Climate and Environmental Change (Physical Geography)” is with a total duration of four semesters and provided by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. The degree program provides a scientifically oriented education with a focus on the geographical aspects of global climate and environmental change. Dealing with climate and environmental changes on various temporal and spatial scales the course is oriented towards the climate and environmental change by exploring areas of paleoclimatology, geoarchaeology and urban climatology. Graduates obtain fundamental understanding of climate changes and associated processes, on pre-industrial and current time and have the opportunity to focus on palaeoclimate research, proxy data and geoarchaeology against the background of regional climate and environmental changes.
