The study course “Master of Science in Computational Sciences” is offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz with a total length of four semesters. During their study, the prospective students obtain the necessary tools from the mathematics and natural science-fields in order to be able to successfully participate in the desired professional field while obtaining the know-how to use new, well-founded computer simulations develop and use applications. Graduates obtain strong knowledge of the methods of numerical mathematics supplemented by relevant experience with their application in the special scientific disciplines and understand how to apply program packages used in the respective natural sciences, gain the necessary scientific fundamentals of the respective subject and mathematical principles.
