The six-semester program “Bachelor of Science in Computer Science” is provided by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. The sub-areas of computer science in the course such as practical and applied computer science, theoretical computer science and technical computer science are represented in total of six working groups in Computational Geometry, Efficient Computing and Storage Systems, Data mining, Scientific Computing and Bioinformatics, Algorithmics, High performance computing as well as Visual computing. During their study, graduates have the opportunity to focus in the area of algorithm engineering for problems of combinatorial optimization.
