Offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, the study program “Master of Science in Computer Science in the Natural Sciences” is with a total length of four semesters. It deals with the theory, techniques and applications of automated and machine storage systems and the processing and transfer of data and information, specifically with the aid of computers with subsectors of computer science that include practical and applied computer science, theoretical computer science and technical computer science. During their study, the prospective students obtain methods to analyze large and complex quantities of data while the course investigates the theoretical basis for efficient geometric algorithms, data structures and uses them in practical applications to create visualizations as well as to simulate movement processes.
