The “Master of Arts in Cultural Anthropology” is offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz with a total length of four semesters. Based on a research-oriented concept, the aim of the program is to link the specific content of the "Cultural Anthropology/Folklore" bachelor’s degree course with the integrated "Culture, Theater and Film" program in order to train the students in the research of historical and current standard cultural phenomena with a strong comparative approach. Graduate obtain the necessary skills to carry out independent activities in the fields of research, training, education, cultural work, media, tourism as well as working in museums, marketing or other sectors.
