Description

With a total duration of four semesters, the program “Master of Arts in Egyptology/Ancient Near Eastern Studies” is provided by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. The research-oriented course deals with the same subject as the Bachelor's program and enables the students to process relevant sources using the scientific methods of the disciplines involved, taking into account the intercultural environment in particular and create sound conclusions regard to society, history, religion, the economy, science, geography, settlement history and topography by analyzing the texts and the material remains. Graduates have the opportunity to select main subjects in Egyptology, Ancient Oriental Philology or Near Eastern Archeology.
