Offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, the course “Bachelor of Education in English/Anglais” is with a duration of six semesters. It aims to provide to the participants a solid basic education in linguistic and literary studies as well as the acquisition of a German-French double degree in order to impart methodological skills, historical knowledge, theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Consisting of the specific sub-areas American Studies, Culture Studies and English Linguistics graduates acquire literary, linguistic and regional knowledge and deepen it in order to reflect on the respective point of view. The participants are able to deepen their linguistic skills and technical knowledge in the Anglophone environment and deal with specific Canadian research interests.
