“Master of Music in Song Accompaniment and Correpetition” is provided by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz with a duration of four semesters. During their study, the participants explore the development of song, oratorio and opera literature under technical and musical aspects, learn the Italian language with special emphasis on correct pronunciation and pronunciation with an understanding of the content of opera texts, the relationship between text and music and acquire the ability to rehearse with singers. In order to gain practical artistic experience in various styles of performance the program teaches how to effortless play score and basso continuo while also imparting important artistic and practical skills for a song accompanist and répétiteur.
