Offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz the program “Master of Arts in French Literary Studies and Cultural Contacts/Lettres modernes” is with a total length of four semesters. The focus of the master degree primarily falls on both French literary and cultural studies with special consideration of cultural contacts along with European as well as non-European cultures .During the first year of study the program deepens and expands the already acquired knowledge in the Romance language core subject of French with a focus on literary studies.
