Provided by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, the degree program “Bachelor of Science in Geography” is with a total duration of six semesters. The participants explore the core areas of geography in climatic geography, geomorphology, settlement, economic and population geography while acquiring the acquisition of basic geographical knowledge, contextual knowledge, geographical thinking and theoretical knowledge as well as technical competencies. By deepening the methodological and technical skills acquired the prospective students are also able to obtain conceptual skills for independent case-related problem analyzes and problem solutions, empirical data acquisition, data evaluation, project planning and social skills such as the ability to cooperate, work in a team and more.
