The degree program “Master of Education in Geography” is offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz with a total duration of four semesters. Throughout the course, the prospective students have the opportunity to apply their previously acquired knowledge during the bachelor degree in their own small research projects and learn to look at the world from a geographical perspective on excursions. The program examines various topics such as what influence does urban development has on the local climate, why tsunami events have a lasting impact on coastal development and more. The course deepens the comprehension in physical geography, human, regional geography and subject didactics with instructions for independent scientific work.
