Offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz the program “Master of Arts in Journalism” is with a total length of four semesters. The curriculum consists of training in newspaper and online journalism, in magazine and radio journalism and in television journalism. The courses consist of lectures, teaching editors and exercises along with attending special press events and excursions. The program provides an introduction to the basics of journalism and the working methods with all the forms of representation of journalism while the students have the opportunity to produce their own newspaper, magazine, online, radio and television reports and edit other people’s work in order to learn as authors and editors, to produce and edit printable and broadcast-ready articles.
