The degree program “Bachelor of Science in Meteorology” is offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz with a total length of four semesters. Throughout the bachelor, the prospective students acquire a broad scientific and interdisciplinary basis in order to be able to contribute to solving essential problems in the field of weather and climate. The course aims to provide the graduates with strong comprehensive knowledge of meteorology in addition to basic physical and mathematical knowledge while training to successfully approach and solve complex problems creatively with the help of an analytical mindset. The course offers the students broad range of research opportunities that enable them to choose from among the research groups.
