The six-semester degree program “Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology” is offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. It deals with the physiology and molecular biology of animals, plants and microorganisms, with molecular genetics, biochemistry and molecular biophysics while students acquire basic knowledge of biology and related basic sciences such as chemistry, physics and mathematics special knowledge in the subject of molecular biology. The course also imparts both practical orientation and methodological knowledge along with exploration of biodiversity research such as ecology, morphology, systematics, evolution, developmental biology and neurobiology, structural biology, cell biology and biotechnology.
