With a duration of six semesters the “Bachelor of Education in Philosophy/Ethics” program is offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. Philosophy has a special focus on the conditions and preconditions of thinking and cognition. Philosophical discussions are essential for studying the subject. Therefore, the key research question is actually what philosophy is and the way it is supposed to be practiced. Graduates are encouraged to further pursue with a Master’s degree.
