With a duration of six semesters, the program “Bachelor of Education in Philosophy (German-French)” is offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. The program aims to provide the students with a solid basic education in the history of philosophy while deepening the knowledge of ethical issues. By imparting methodological skills and historical knowledge, theoretical knowledge and practical skills the program also provides broad coverage of the history of philosophy as well as the analysis of theories and positions where graduates are also able to focus on the analysis of certain topics from different philosophers and epochs.
