With a duration of six semesters the two-subject degree course “Bachelor of Arts in Public Law” is provided by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. By concentrating on the area of public law the course aims to impart knowledge and competencies in the sum of all norms that entitle or oblige the bearers of sovereign power. The students explore all the inclusion of state organization law and basic rights and the fundamental character of the two state law lectures for public law along with the basic concepts, forms of action or legality requirements for administrative action in order to gain the ability to take a critical and reflective perspective on executive action. Graduates are able to obtain basic knowledge and understanding of the law of the European institutions and the fundamental freedoms.
