The six-semester degree program “Bachelor of Education in Spanish” is provided by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. The subjects of the teaching degree consist of the Spanish language in its historical development and as the current language system, the literatures of the Spanish-speaking world in the context of cultural studies, the cultural conditions in the Hispanic countries in their respective historical and social contexts with didactic preparation and communication focus. During the teacher training courses, Spanish can be studied as one of two subjects while another compulsory component is the subject of educational sciences.
