Provided by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, the study course “Bachelor of Education in Sports” is with a duration of six semesters. It conveys basic and in-depth movement skills and acquire the basic and advanced knowledge, skills and abilities in the technical, motor and didactic areas in order to be able to teach the subject of sport competently in conjunction with the preparatory service, obtain sport and movement-specific ability in selected fields of sport and movement culture which enables graduates to perform movements at an appropriate level. The bachelor degree provides with in-depth knowledge of sports science methods along with action-oriented specialist knowledge that enables them to guide and reflect on movement learning situations and enable them to justify the practice and application of sports and movement skills from a sport-scientific point of view.
