Offered by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz the international joint degree “Master of Arts in Transnational German Studies” is with a total length of four semesters. During the course, the prospective students obtain comprehension combined with a content-related context by embedding specialist Germanic knowledge in a trans-European, intercultural and interdisciplinary context. One focus is on the literature of the Middle Ages and the early modern period while the literary content is expanded by events on cultural history, career orientation and specific language skills acquisition.
