The four-semester degree program “Master of Arts in Transnational Journalism” is provided by the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. It deals with the forms of representation in print journalism, television journalism and radio journalism along with online and multimedia topics such as data journalism and digital research. In addition the prospective students obtain foreign language skills and transnational dimensions are reflected in dealing with European politics with the European and international media system. Students deepen their knowledge of print journalism, television journalism, radio journalism and online and multimedia journalism in France and Germany, deal with contemporary history, cultural and political science topics as well as with the German and French media landscape.
