Infonomics is an academic field of study that serves as the link between economics and information science. It deals with the economic handling of information and has emerged as a university discipline as a result of the digital revolution. Infonomics involves features of information science, linguistics, mathematics and economics, providing ways of efficiently using data, information and knowledge. It is also referred to “management of knowledge”.
