“Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering’’ is a six-semester study program offered by Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Geared towards prospective students who are interested in becoming bioengineers, this course of study imparts scientific and methodological knowledge and skills in several disciplines. The later include Mathematics, Natural Science and Engineering with a focus on Process Engineering of Biological Material Systems. Furthermore, the curriculum allows students to choose one out of eleven profile subjects that will be studied in-depth through and will involve group work. Some of the possibilities for a specialization include Food Technology, Biotechnology, Particle Technology, Process Development and Scale-up, etc.
