“Bachelor of Education in Secondary School Teaching, Major subject Geography’’ is a six-semester teacher program offered at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. The course is geared towards prospective students who want to acquire in-depth knowledge of geography. Furthermore, participants will also receive specialist didactic knowledge necessary for practicing the profession of geography teachers at schools. The geography course can be combined with other subjects such as Philosophy/Ethics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geography, etc. Upon successful completion of the course, graduates can practice the teacher profession at high schools, community schools or vocational schools.
