The seven-semester study program “Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Informatics” is offered by the Kempten University of Applied Sciences. By the interlinking of practical medical knowledge, in-depth expertise in IT as well as basic health economics and regulatory knowledge prepares the participants optimally for the tasks in a digitized and networked health system. Graduates learn to understand and analyze the relevant potential of the targeted acquisition, organization and provision of information and the digital support of associated processes with different processes such as prevention, diagnostics as well as therapy of acute situations and the care of chronic conditions. The course consists of technical basics in the fields of informatics, software and computer technology, mathematics, business administration, health and nursing sciences and the prospective students have the opportunity to practice the skills necessary for communication and interdisciplinary teamwork.
