Kiel University of Applied Sciences, founded in 1969 through the amalgamation of various public engineering schools and higher technical colleges, is a public university seated in Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein. It currently accomodates more than 7,400 students in 36 study programs. Kiel University of Applied Sciences is comprised of the following six departments: the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, the Department of Manufacturing Systems Engineering, the Department of Media, the Department of Social Work, and the Department of Economics. The University’s portfolio of study offers is made up of 19 Bachelor programs and 17 Master programs. In addition to such undergraduate and consecutive study courses as “Agriculture“, “Electrical Engineering“, “Information Technology and the Internet“, “Technology Management and Marketing“, “Mechatronics“, “International Sales and Purchase Engineering“, “Mechanical Engineering“, “Offshore Plant Engineering“, “Shipbuilding and Maritime Technology“, several continuative eudcation programs are on offer as well. They include the four-semester online study courses “Industrial Engineering“, “Business Administration“, as well as “Business Information Technology“. The scope of online study courses also includes the Bachelor courses “Business Administration“, and “Business Information Technology“.
