The Faculty of Computer Science and Media at Leipzig University of Applied Sciences offers the study program “Bachelor of Engineering in Book and Media Production”. It continues for six semesters, plus one for the bachelor thesis preparation. Technical and market-relevant skills are trained through practice and team work, and excellent career prospects open up for future graduates of this degree. The graphic techniques, publishing, typography, and design knowledge is given through a tight partnership with publisher from Germany and abroad. Individual priorities will guide students in specific areas, to be chosen from the elective subjects available. IT, which is being involved at a high-speed in the performance of any technological area nowadays, will occupy its due share in the preparation of the future graphic designers, electronic and other media production specialists, and book publishers.
