The “Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering” course is offered at Leipzig University of Applied Sciences. The scope of the areas where civil engineers intervene is broad – constructing bridges, roads, residential, social and industrial constructions, tunnels, natural disaster protection constructions. The degree begins where the undergraduate studies have ended, by advancing and specializing the studies and competences for individual responsible and holistic approach to relevant civic technical projects. There are four areas of specialization which can be chosen for further narrower investigation: geothecnics, transportation, and water engineering, structural engineering, construction industry, building maintenance. The university possesses well-equipped laboratories for the execution of the project and research tasks, which are integrated in the four-semester long course.
