The “Bachelor of Science in Computer Science” degree program at Leipzig University of Applied Sciences aims at preparing specialists in a three-year period, with five semesters dedicated to compulsory subjects and the last one being the practical one, plus the bachelor thesis development. The principles in hardware and software systems for the innumerate areas of application will become known to the future graduates. Methods of solution finding will be given in order to create computer programs, alongside alternative solutions or adaptation and modification of the existing versions, and the networking scheme. A great deal of the research and formal representation of the problems will be done individually, for the purpose of which the fully equipped university laboratories will be at students’ unrestricted disposition. The basic layer of the course is laid at the beginning – mathematics, computer science, and hardware and software development. The later part of the degree is dedicated to intensive group project work - Software Projects I and II under the management of master degree students.
