The cooperative course “Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology” at Leipzig University of Applied Sciences is designed to train future specialists in diverse technological fields. For the first part of the complete eight semesters, students will obtain 180 ECTS and knowledge in the basic technical and engineering subjects – mathematics, physics, electronics, informatics. Then, a choice of interests will guide students in the selection of a course of studies among Automation Technology, Electrical Power Engineering, Electronic Circuit Technology and Signal Processing, Information Technology and Automation Systems. The onsite theoretical studies at HTWK are integrated with 44 weeks of training and 75 weeks of company practice in the factories and company branches of the training provider. Successfully completed degree will be a starting point for either further studies and research, or numerous working positions – in technology, automotive, energy, aerospace, building, sales, manufacturing companies. A contract for work and study with a training company is one of the admission prerequisites.
