The Faculty of Engineering at the HTWK Leipzig offers the study program “Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology”. It occupies four semesters, if taken in its full-time standard form, and six – in the part-time, extra-occupational modality, available for only two of the profiles. The knowledge students should already possess from a completed undergraduate course will be broadened and further developed. There are five areas of specialization to choose from – Electrical Energy Technology, Electronic Cicuit Technology and Circuit Processing, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, Biomedical Information Technology. The synergy between IT and ET experiences a sweeping rise of popularity and applicability, and specilists with that degree will be sure to find positions not only in emerging technological crossdiscipline fields, but also in academic research or further study institutes. There is a practice period embedded, which will extract and implement the functional aspect of the program.
