The “Master of Arts in General Management” postgraduate master’s degree course at the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences provides specialists with the broad and at the same time specific knowledge needed for running a company, both within a national and international setting. The three semesters of compulsory subjects end with one devoted to the preparation of a master’s thesis. The degree is guided by the principle of utmost practical application of the studies, since it is also intended for non-business backgrounds of the undergraduate courses required for admission. The competence and ability to work independently but confidently in a managerial position, comes from a sound scientific foundatiuon of the studies and a job-specific qualificating tasks performed onsite, or simulated in the seminar classes, the practical phase and the project work, embedded in the curriculum.
