At Leipzig University of Applied Sciences there is the “Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering: Electrical Engineering” degree program. It continues for six semesters, the first five being for major compulsory and elective modules, and the last one is dedicated to the practical phase and the thesis preparation. The degree, apart from giving the necessary purely technical and scientific foundation, does also add business administration subjects, so that specialists could have a view of the broader picture of the interrelated processes in a manufacturing or provision of services company. The information technology related matters are also dealt with in relevance to the engineering degree. Language training is an integrated part of the studies. Additional qualifications can be gained through elective modules to serve personal inclinations, and give better choices of work.
